The Story Behind Bloxholm Bespoke

My name is Connor, and I’m the founder of Bloxholm Bespoke.

The idea for the business came about while renovating previous properties. Time and time again, I struggled to find furniture that felt right for character homes — and when I did, the quality and customer service often fell short.

That became even clearer after moving into my own barn conversion. When it came to the bathroom, nothing available suited the space or the feel of the property, so I decided to make my own vanity. What started as a personal solution quickly led to enquiries, and soon people were asking me to recreate similar pieces for their own homes.

That was the point Bloxholm Bespoke began.

A Love for Character Properties

I’ve always been drawn to buildings with history and individuality — barn conversions, period homes, and properties with a sense of place. These spaces deserve furniture that feels considered, not generic.

Bloxholm Bespoke exists to help homeowners who care about those details and want something made specifically for their home, rather than adapted from something mass-produced.

Attention to Detail

I take a very hands-on approach to my work. From sourcing antiques to finishing the final details, everything is done with care and intent.

That might mean removing original locks from antique furniture and spending a day at an antiques fair hunting for the correct key, or personally visiting the quartz factory I now use so I know exactly where materials come from and the quality I’m working with.

I don’t accept second best — if something isn’t right, it isn’t used.

From the first conversation through to delivery — and afterwards — I aim to be present, responsive, and helpful. Clear communication, timekeeping, and professionalism are the spine of the business, because I’ve seen firsthand how often those things are missing.

My goal is to make the process as enjoyable and reassuring as the finished piece itself.

A Personal Approach

Bloxholm Bespoke is a small, independent practice, and every project is handled directly by me. I take on a limited number of commissions so I can give each one the time and attention it deserves.
